Got some work done on the V1!!
I had some extra time this winter so I installed some more goodies!
-150 Nitrous Plate Kit with all the good stuff like automatic bottle opener, electronic pressure gauge and stuff like that.
- Had some of the plastic engine parts hydro-dipped.
-LPE Ported throttle body
- Engine mounts
- Installed some 2010 CTS-V fender vents and I have the purge with red LEDs blowing out the vent.
Much more to come this winter! Still have heads and cam sitting on my bench and I need to install a performance fuel pump soon. How long do you think the rear end is going to last lol!

You have the factory (very conservative) tune I hope?
I ran my old camaro with just a 100 shot, with a Head/Cam tune..... after half a dozen passes I put three holes in the block.
The vent and purge location looks sick!

Thanks guys! Well my experience has been on a engine with stock internals that keeping the stock tune on the nitrous and NOT going over the biggest suggested shot works well. When I do go with the heads and cam I will for sure get some tuning done with some very mild timing curves and better fuel system setup! I have had some pretty good luck running nitrous on all my cars since way back.. Here in my shop we don't do much performance work now, but in the past I've installed about 80 customer kits. Had my R1 on a 40hp hit, my 1999 civic with 1.8 swap with 100 direct port shot, all my bye-turbo Audi's spraying and my 1995 Z28 was on a two stage 350hp shot, built with forged engines and timing being pulled of course. The kit I installed in the Cadillac was done with just extra parts I had sitting around my tool box and garage lol! I'm just kind of a nitrous junkie I guess.

I'm pretty happy with the purge, looks cool! It was the guys at work that came up with the idea.. I already had it all set up coming out near the wipers, but I'm glad I changed it now.

Ill be waiting for the "my motor blew" thread. At least throw it on a dyno with a wideband and make sure the "suggested" jetting on the fuel side is correct. I ran what was reccommended from HSW on their nozzle and it was LEAN as hell. Had to steup up the fuel jet 5 sizes. You really should pull some timing for the nitrous as well but thats not gonna affect reliability.
