Went out with some buddies sat night in mexico and did some runs. I ended up running a couple new 5.0's and a vortech mach1 and a pulleyd cobra. It was fun, i hadnt really got to run my car after everything had been on it.

I have: ported stock ls2 mani and tb, pacsetters no cats magnaflow catback, and a full g5x3 cam kit. made 429/395, and the one track time was a 12.87@112.5 with a 2.6 60ft.

Both races i had 2 extra the cobra had one extra person and the 5.0 had 2 people i believe, i dont know how much this would make a difference.

Cobra: upper pulley, catback, intake and tune.

I was proud of the caddy, i think it did well. lol

In the process of trying to figure out how and keep the cam i have. I really like the way the car sounds and i cant run stock manifolds with my cams overlap, and i dont want to incure another 1500 in custom turbo manifolds, lol. I was thinking about trying to run stock c6 z06 mani's and then pipe the turbo off them somehow, well see.


Yeah that was a shadey situatioin all around. I think i about had a mustang enima and there was another new 5.0 right behind the blue one that almost makes it into the picture as the video stops. I let off earlier and still was on the brakes hard .

yeah i think i slept a little on the honk. And hes got a buddy with some more vids of us running. We were basicly running right next to each other in all the other runs. The guys with the cobra was saying how this 5.0 runs really good for the few mods it has.

Good runs I expected all of that though. Pullied cobra is usually good for 116-118 and intake and tune 5.0 about the same.

you shoulda spanked that 5.0. I had a cars length on one with intake, and axle back mufflers.. I have full exhaust, tune intake and a short shifter.. i chase that guy down and run him again, he did cheat on the 2nd honk too..
