Default Maggied raven v Carlisle, PA who bought it???

Was at carlisle, PA a few months ago and was thinking of picking the v up to replace mine however the miles turned me away from it. Its a raven with gunmetal stock wheels . Was sitting at Merick and Fair dealership. The car was fully built with everything but the rear. But with 225k it made my teeth grind. However I must say it was the smoothest v I ever drove. Just saw that they sold it about a month ago...wondering what it dynoed at and whether much of it was bs...

Maggied with 225k... No thanks!

Edit***
No offense if anyone here bought it. I just hope you got it cheap and its problem free. Thats just a lot of many miles for a FI car with too many unknowns IMO just as SSmoked1 said.

Saw that on autotrader a while back. I emailed them to see if that was the actual mileage. Too many unknowns with that purchase. Interested to see if anyone from here picked it up.

one thing ill tell you guys i drove it and it drives way smoother than mine. ran great too. Aparently I was told the owner that modded it did it in the last year after he bought it and then upgraded to a v2. As far as miles, its the only reason I didn't buy it...

they were asking 19k, I offered them 14k which I still thought was generous with all those miles. The car was modded to death, but I bought an 05 with 80k for 11k so....

I'm pretty sure a guy in Allentown picked it up. A friend of a friend. He had another. I heard the motor was a complete rebuild. I also heard it dyno'd low...430.

That asking price (rebuilt motor or not) is ridiculous. And those numbers suck for a Maggie/built motor

I too was wondering who bought that. It did look nice but I never made down there to look in person since the miles were so high. I ended up going to Long Island to pick mine up. Bought it from ebay. That was scarey but it all turned out good in the long run. I do love the car.

yeah i'm surprised but in person the car also looked flawless. The interior was in better shape than mine with only 60k on it. 430 maggied? that sounds weird considering it had a fully built tranny, cam, exhaust, kooks, maggie and a bunch of other small ****. Most people dyno at 430 with just a maggie not even being overdriven. Yeah i was gonna offer around 15 for it but changed my mind the more I pondered about the miles. Test drove it with my dad haha, when I hit the highway I gunned it and a few seconds later my dad is like "I think there are a lot of cops on this road") I was thinking of buying it for the maggie at the time but after thinking about it, if I would take it out who the hell would pay 11-12gs for a v w 225k. Not worth my time...

Klo2nik were do you live? I have an 04 V and live in the Harrisburg area but worn in the Greenfield Corp center Lancaster County...

I also offerred 15K for that Carlisle V. I loved the car but couldn't get over the high miles.

I work at J&J McNeil. I plan to be there Sunday morning and will try to find you and Tom. Are you bringing/running your V?
