Default Well, I'm finally about done ordering parts.

As you may recall, I blew up my LS6 (spun a rod bearing), and wanted to go cheap and get it running decent again. I threw "cheap" out the window and ordered:

Bought:

408 Stroker LQ9 Iron Block
- Eagle 4 inch stroker crankshaft
- Wiseco forged connecting rods
- Wiseco forged pistons (inverted dome shape)
- Durabond/Clevite main/rod/cam bearings
- 11.5:1 compression ration

Texas Speed Texas Giant 112 Camshaft
- 248/254, .615/.622 with 112 LSA

Odds and Ends:

- LS9 Head Gaskets
- FEL-PRO everything else gaskets/seals
- Siemens DEKA 60 LB Injectors
- 20.4 qts of valvoline synpower synthetic oil, and 2 filters (i don't care how good you think amsoil etc is)

Still looking to buy:

FAST 102 LS1/2/6 intake
FAST 102 DBW Throttle Body
FAST 102 Fuel Rails.

Should make decent power, especially since I'm under 5,400 dollars with shipping so far for everything listed here so far. Still trying to snag a FAST Complete for around 1000-1200.

Selling from old car:

- Used oil pump
- Used Lifters (sold)
- LS6 Intake (complete) with ported throttle body, fuel rails, and injectors
- Bad rod bearing LS6 block.

What do you guys think?

You might want a new fuel pump, of you don't have one already.

Best I've seen for a new Fast 102 is $750-800 on eBay, and $650 for electronic throttle bodies. Not too many people selling them used.

How are your motor mounts? Have you considered a harmonic damper?

You might want to pick up 2-3 gallons of coolant and a couple bottles of Water Wetter.

Edit: any idea how much more this motor will weigh than your old one?

I would port and polish whatever heads you are using while it's all apart.

Sounds like its gonna be a beast, especially with that huge *** cam in there. Hope your valvetrain is upgraded to compensate. As said before, it should definitely be over 500 rwhp, I'd run it off a cliff if it doesn't put that down.
