Need 2nd set of wheels for summer/track- H&R drop, Suggestions?
I'm picking up my V tomorrow and have an HPDE event planned for Aug. 4th. I'd like to get a second set of wheels that I can ride on for tracking and keep another set handy for all season.
The vehicle is lowered on H&R lowering springs.
This is what I think I know.
-Forgestar 14's need trailing arm work for proper fitment of tires with lowered vehicles
-Linea Course wheels I've read have a weird offset that proves difficult.
-Most other wheels I've found little information with respect to lowered vehicles and fitment.
- Could get another set of USED CTS-V stock wheels but I don't know where to look.
My racing friend at Radial Tire in Maryland can help me out with some lightly used racing rubber so it would behoove me to have a second set of wheels handy for proper track grip.
Any help would be appreciated.

Td's are great bought mine from eBay. Tire size square setup 255/40, 265/40 or 275/35. 275/40 square might work need to test that soon. For staggered options no issues on rear with 275/40. 285/35 might fit on back might touch trailing arm which would go great with 255 front if it fits.

See... That's exactly why I was going to sell my H&R's before installing them. Granted, I love the H&R stance but the GC kit comes with stiffer spring rates. The front can be adjusted as low as you wanna go but the rear is limited to about a 1" drop with those 10" springs the kit comes with. I'd be tempted to do what fuzzy logic did and pick up the GC kit and then order some 8" springs in a stuffer spring rate for the rear and be done. I'd have all the adjustment needed at that point.

I plan to widen some stock wheels to 10" and I already have the MAP arms. Just need to install them. I plan to run a 295 out back. Just trying to decide if I'm better off sticking with H&R's or going with the GC kit.

295s... Lowered... Good luck. as is with my Linea corse setup... Im MMs away from the MAP trailing arm on the inside and pretty much FLUSH with the fender. So a 275 allows some room. Once rolled the 285 will basically be FLUSH as well with the fender.
So unless your going with a SUPER SUPER HIGH SPRING RATE.... I mean astronomical... i dont see 295s working.

This is 275/35 Contis before my MM spacers
Kind of hard to see but same setup with the spacers
And with the new 275/30 Nexxen **** I had to get after my fender ate the other tires

I know TommyCompton is running a 295/35 on widened 10" stock wheels with map arms and no issues. That's where I was getting my info from as I plan to run the same setup. He's lowered pretty low as well.
You're pics always look so good! Lol
I'm assuming the difference might be the offset on the wheels with yours being aftermarket. But hell... A 285 will still look a lot nicer back there on a 10" wheel than a 275 on an 8.5" wheel like I'm running now.
