Default Rear Differential Bushing, Does this look bad?

I get some clunk when shifting gears (1-5) if i am not very gentle.

While i was under the car i took some pictures of the rear diff bushing, does it look bad? seems it bulges from some areas.

Car only has 15k miles.

I've certainly seen a lot worse. The clunk you experience is pretty much normal, and the first culprit is the asinine dual mass flywheel.

The only thing that looks bad about it to me is that it's still stock. That soft rubber doesn't stand a chance behind an LS engine.

Crazy low miles, go with a bushing and block and forget about it for a while. Chasing down the clunks with this car is a neverending project.

Doesn't look too bad to me.

Was doing some other work on the V last weekend and located the potential source of MY clunk.

This CS bushing has 10K on it and a nice tear (surface tear probably). Will be replacing it with another CS bushing and adding the diff block once CS has a loaner tool back in stock. All of them are in use and I'm on the waiting list ...

There's 3 of them. When I changed mine from the clunk, the rears were good. the front one was shot to hell.

^this^

The clunks aren't going to magically go away when you replace that bushing. It'll help a little at first...but the clunk gremlins always come back.
