I have a thread and DarkCharisma (pretty sure it was him have to db check) has a thread also, he warned me about it but I didn't want to believe him.
I also pm'd you when I was doing my clutch install cause I couldn't get the clutch to disengage properly till I replaced the bolts.
The F1 flywheel the threads don't go all the way through so the arp pressure plates bolts bottom out. You can see the bolts have different thread length or something. I took a picture of it as well.

I see you said the threads don't go all the way through and the bolt bottoms out. I wonder if they are threaded with a bottoming tap? Surely they would be since they are so shallow. Either way, a little thicker washer should fix that.

I dunno but the arp bolts came with their own washers, I just used the oem bolts and they worked perfect. I don't know for sure if that was the problem but that is the only thing that I can think of when I was torquing the pressure plate. It was exactly as he said

If the PowerTorque LS7 slave is no longer available, do you guys know what the most recent replacement is for it (or if there is one)? It still shows on Orielly website ($129 now tho), but when you check store stock it tells you to contact the store. This tells me that it's backordered and/or no longer available. I haven't confirmed this with the stores yet though.

GM slave is over $200. The PowerTorque/Jobber store model was $95. It's now listed as $125, but may not actually be available anymore, even though it's on O'Riley's site. I have a very hard time giving the GM manufacturer any more credibility than an OEM aftermarket manufacturer, so I guess that's just a difference of opinions between us. I'd prefer to save $100 if I can.

The PowerTorque slave the the OEM LS7 slave are virtually identical.

I searched and couldn't find an answer, although I did see where one guy burned the longer LS7 slave connector on his header. Where do you guys tie these on to stay away from headers etc. since the LS7 is longer?

I have mine zip-tied up and away from the exhaust manifolds.

The PowerTorque unit is not available to purchase through O'Reilly's any longer. Since FTE makes both the PowerTorque and OEM GM unit, GM gets to call the shots. I burned my slave cylinder line a few weeks back and ended up having to purchase a GM unit. I know a guy at a dealer so I got it "at cost", which still wasn't bad at all ($175 plus tax).

Could be old stock. If you buy 100 of them, then they discontinue the part, it's not like you have to send them back. Really it doesn't matter, as long as you get a slave that is made by FTE you'll be in good shape.

I hear you, glad you didnt go my route, a week later and Im still waiting for it to show up. Had the trans out for a week now. Its on the truck for delivery today so we will see how it goes. Oreillys still sells the slave, it is just a special order, I stopped by today and asked the guy. Either way, its not quick.
