Greased the Revshift front control arm bushings and the lower ball joints.
I think I may have been guilty of a stupid, amateur mistake on the ball joints - I ***umed the shop that pressed them in greased them, but in hindsight I think what I was seeing was just whatever grease Moog puts in them so they don't corrode while sitting on the shelf.

Which setup did you decide to go with?
[On a separate note, my brother recently bought my niece an '01 S10, so I've been prowling S10forum. I see your name all over the place.]

Former S10F user here too. I miss the simplicity and cheap parts of that platform.
If you want a cheap brake upgrade for her, swap the front knuckle, Hub, and Brake setup from a 98+ blazer. It'll stop on a dime. Pun intended.
While you're at it, the Blazer anti-roll bars were also larger at 33mm. Easy picks from a yard if you can find one.

Yup, same username. Working on the swaybars already (haven't found a 2WD to get a bigger front bar from yet), will almost certainly do the brakes, too, but I'll get to that later.

That picture of the old flywheel reminds me of the night I swapped mine out with a buddy. The car was up on a lift and we had a wobble light below us. The flywheel slipped off once the last bolt was removed and said buddy wasn't anticipating 45lbs worth of flywheel to catch... so down it fell in slow motion as we both scurried away and it completely severed the power cord for the light with a bright spark before darkness. Oops.

Put it up on a lift to check (again) for a bad wheel bearing, as I've had a speed-related thrumming noise getting progressively louder. Had jacked it up in my driveway a week or so ago but didn't find any play in any of the bearings; wanted to give it another shot on the lift. I think the answer is that I don't have a bad wheel bearing, but both CVs on the driveshaft have puked their grease, so that's probably what I've been hearing.
And the 8.8", which has had a leaking driver side axle seal forever, now appears to have a leaking passenger side seal, too. Pinion seal may be leaking as well, or maybe it was just fouled up around there due to the driveshaft CV leaking.

I came home from vacation to find that my loan check for the V I'm getting came in the mail. Note I have to wait until next Monday to go get it. Almost as bad as waiting for Christmas! LOL.
