I just saw someone else with the same wheels running that size. i thought 255 would be a lot of wheel for the front and may rub.

245/40 is the proper match for 275/35s. The 245/45s will be an inch taller.

As for best prices, check Ebay, Tire Rack, Discount Tire Direct, Tire Buyer, etc etc. Occasionally you might stumble across a deal like this one, but generally they're all in the same ballpark on price once you factor in shipping.

TireBuyer has beaten out some other folks for me recently. IMO the best way to get a good deal on tires is to hit up DiscountTireDirect on eBay, cross-check TireRack and TireBuyer, then hit up DiscountTire and tell them "look fuggers, these guys have tire $xyz for $num, match it today or I give them my money instead."

I've found that getting the part number for the specific tire you want and then going on amazon.com to find them has been decently successful, especially if you already use amazon prime's free shipping.

A third party seller on Amazon had a great deal on tires when I was looking recently, but I cancelled the order after 3 weeks empty handed. They never even responded to any of my messages.

3rd party seller is Turbo Tires. Buyer beware!

Just spent $1375 for Pilot Super Sports for my new Forgestars. That was with new TPMS all around from Belle Tire.

I ordered some Toyo Proxes T1 Sports from Tread Depot today. $778 shipped for 245/40-19s and 275/35-19s. I have Continental DWs on my other set of 19s, and wanted to try something new. (I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the Continentals, I just figured I would experiment a bit.) I had been planning on getting the Falken FK453s from Discount Tire Direct (about $840 shipped) until I saw the Toyo deal on Tread Depot.

I've had predecessors of both tires - Toyo T1Ss about a dozen years ago, Falken FK452s maybe 5 or 6 years ago - and was happy with both, so I wanted to try out their current versions.

I run 255/45 all around. Discount tire direct - call them up they will match anybody's price even after rebates, and if you hassle them a bit you can get the tire warranty for $16/tire.... I gambled and got it since the Michelin's I'm running are a lot more expensive than any other tire I've purchased. AS3's

Any negatives to that size this far? I'm considering the same.

Pros: More grip all-around. Results in the equivalent of changing the rear diff to a 3.68 gear ratio - 1st gear is smoothed out a bit. Better looks IMHO - less wheel well gap especially in the rear you can tell. A little better ride.

Cons: It does have an every so slightly taller sidewall than standard size, so it will inherently have a bit more flex than the same tire of 245/45. Probably would not notice it on the street. If I go fast over a big bump in the road (railroad track for example) the front tires will briefly touch the wheel well liner. It's happened about on 2 roads over the course of 6k miles...

If you're lowered you might need to raise it up a bit to prevent rubbing since the tire is 27" vs. 26.6"...

Gotta compensate on the odometer and speedo because it now roads 74 vs. 72 stock at an indicated 70... no biggie. Avg. MPG on the DIC is always about 6% lower than actual... GPS verified on the trip mileage is off as well as the speedo..

I've got HPTuners we can fix this if you want to pay for the credits.

Couple people told me to get 255/40 Any reason you went with the taller sidewall?
