6.0 Super Build
So I have been just looking at motors and came to the realization that in the long run my LS6 will not like boost the way I'd like it to. So I have changed my mind and I'm going to build an iron 6.0. It would be better for me to just build what I want and pay it off. Now I'm going to do the Edelbrock E-force supercharger because it yields better numbers than the Maggie in everything I've seen. If I'm wrong show me but if I'm forking over that much money I want more power than 120hp. I just want to see if anyone else has used this block and see what input y'all have. I want to do full forged internals and stroke it but I'm only assuming this block it a replica to the LS2 block. What parts should i get along with this block cause I'm going to build this and put it into my car when its complete. I can't take down my daily driver longer than a couple days. I appreciate any input guys.

Just as long as racecar is paid for before racecar breaks something else and costs more money...thats what I was commenting about
I look forward to reading on your build! what else do you have in mind for it? Specifics yet?

I will plan on financing a little bit but I'm trying to be sponsored and go to a ton of shows and races but I have to front some of the cost for some of it. I really have been looking at building the alum ls6 but in the end it would be better to build an iron monster. The details I'm trying to get from others experiments and see what worked and didnt.

I see. As much as I love NA. It seems boost is the route to go to make big power...
I think about doing heads and cam or intake on my ls2 but If I do decide to build up this car I will probably go boost fully forged on a different block. Just so I can build it slowly
Can't decide if I want to dump money into this car yet...

Well I want to stoke it and get some mean pistons. I may have Tick Performance grind me a custom cam for this motor its going to directly suited for boost becasue i plan on bumping the supercharger up a couple psi at a time to see how much i can push I just get parts to look into

I don't think with the power levels you are talking you would gain anything going with the iron block. I would just get an LS2/3; but if you are just trying to save money on the block, well that is understandable.
I personally think a turbo'd engine is far more reliable than a NA when comparing the same hp.
I want to get a 427 for mine, but I will be fine with an stroked LS2...lol
In for the the build!

While I understand the premise of the iron blocks being stronger than aluminum, at the power levels you're discussing, I don't believe you'll ever run into any issues that the aluminum block can't handle.
Also, don't forget that when using an iron block in the V, you have to have some custom motor mount plates fabbed up.
