I'm sure this thread has been beat to F**k but what is the best short shifter for your buck. Any install write-ups?

Best shifter out there. I have had mine for a couple thousand miles and it's smooth as butter

I have tried most but B&M and katech, and I still find that the hurst retrofit is the best option. At some point I will be going back into a hurst setup.

Best is a matter of opinion. The one thing that doesn't lack on LS1tech is opinion. The first links were a list of LS1tech threads. IMHO Brian's shifters are the best. Whether you go with the modified stock or the Hurst, they are good.

Get shifter bushings as well.

Yeah, it was a joke comment more aimed at the OP since searching for "best" will only get you opinions and Google can't actually determine that
