So the caddi developed a knock which I'm hoping is at worse a lifter. But sounds alot like a ls2 I had with #7 piston failure. Any ideas? 67k

Lifters don't knock, they tick. If you've heard the noise before and it was a piston failure, I would assume the same.

Your description is so vague with no amplifying information. Entirely impossible for us to know what's wrong. We need a video with decent sound quality at the very least.

These motors are pretty tough. Do you drive it hard, run it low on oil, etc?

Could be the dual mass flywheel.

pull your oil drain plug, maybe take a look at the oil as well. Also a mechanic stethoscope could help isolate it, a spun bearing will definitely show in the oil plug though.

Sorry to hear man, I hope its something like a Flywheel, but if its a knock and not a tick I wouldnt get your hopes up...Which it sounds like you have been down this road before.
