Default blown rear shock

I just replaced my passenger side rear shock, is it worth holding on to the blown shock and having it repaired? Or should I just junk it?

The blown shock I took off has little to no oil left in it. I can compress it fairly easily. I was wondering if I should have it "rebuilt" for future use.

If you can have it rebuilt for less than $75, sounds reasonable.

If you find a place that rebuilds the OEM shocks, please share.

Is there an aftermarket shock you can stab in for a decent price?

kyb makes a replacement that fits. Given, it's not gonna be ride height adjusting, but they make a decent unit for ~$100.

No one is going to repair that shock

Gfallen, how did you know it was blown? Oil in the wheel well our increased rear squat?

I put on a new set of fg2s not too long ago. One rear and one front are blown, with granny driving. Less than 5k miles!

I take back every positive thing I ever said about these **** shocks...

If you're planning to keep the car for 30+ years, then hold onto it. If not, junk that ish.
