Default longevity of diff & motormounts

I replaced my stock motor mounts and rear diff bushing with creative steel units 3 years ago. Today it seems like I have a lot of clunking and slamming going on (front and back). While certainly not as bad as it was before I replaced the motor mount/diff bushing it is quite evident.

How long do those bushings/mounts last? Are they likely shot? Or is this from other drivetrain bushings now failing?

If you suspect any sort of failure, take pictures and show them to Creative Steel. I'm sure they will back their products.

Creative Steel has a great reputation.

Do you still have the stock differential and driveshaft? Those are some clunky *** pieces and 3 years of wear will certainly make them a little noisier.

My stock dif clunks like a bag of hammers. Can't wait for my 8.8 upgrade. I also have CS motor, trans, dif block, and cradle bushings. All are 95a where applicable.

Need a poly carrier on that driveshaft to help reduce clunking.

The noise became much more pronounced after I installed the rev shift rear cradle bushings.

Thunk on high rpm shifts from motor and some slop from the rear... Not sure if driveshaft or rear diff.

Lots of vibration driving (clutch engaged) too...

Some of the vibration could be a failing crank pulley. Lots of things on this car contribute to vibration, it's crazy. Once you have a new crank pulley/balancer, a regular flywheel, and all new mounts everywhere, you *should* have minimal vibration, hah.

^^^^I did all of the above and still had the clunk. If you get that oscillating clunk/twang that sounds like someone plucking a banjo string hitting a dampened wooden block it is very likely the carrier bushing (i do not know of a good way to describe it).

My diff has roughly 45 degrees of rotational "slop" in it. No wonder it's clunky!

That's all lash setting in the stock dif. Mine is about the same. If I put it in neutral I can spin the driveshaft by hand back and forth and I get about 1/8th of a rotation before the tires will move. Kinda silly how they set that up.
