Default 07' CTS-V dyno results

I picked up the V a couple months ago and did some mods. I had to go out of country before I got to dyno it. Got it on the dyno today and put down 366/359rw SAE. The car still has the full stock exhaust w/ manifolds and dual mass fly wheel. The headers are in the mail. I am taking it to the track tomorrow so if I run it I will update the post. I did not dyno it stock so I have no base numbers. The red line is when I rolled into the dyno, the blue line is when I was done tuning. I am sure it would have cracked 370/360rw but I was getting weird knock for now reason. I think my Air filter was hitting the strut tower causing knock. It would move around each run and never be the same amount now matter how much timing I pulled. I am only running 22* at peak tq and 24* at peak hp. On the last run it pulled 9* at 5,300 and some here and there up to 6,500, you can see it on the graph. It doesn't pull any timing on the street.

Mods:

I ported the TB and LS2 Intake manifold (what a piece of junk stock)
Designed my own CAI with LS7 MAF card
160* thermostat
NGK TR6's
MSD wires
Designed my own PCV system with a catch can
and I did a custom tune

Graph:

Nice numbers. Are you a tuner?

Thanks, and yes I do tune but the term "tuner" always leaves a bad taste in people's mouths. So I tune the cars and combos I do. Don't want to make another claims than that.

Thanks guys, I am really happy with the results. Can't wait to see what it does with headers and no "knock". Here are the pics of the CAI.

It is still a little rough and I am refining it as I go. What you can't see is there is a portion that extends past the radiator that picks up fresh air from the grill.

What brand name headers are you going with? I am thinking about going with Pacesetter LT's with my 06 CTS-V.

I am going with OBX 1 7/8" w/ cats. I get a good price on them and have had good luck with them in the past.

I've seen a 4% difference between STD and SAE pretty consistently. So in this case, about 360whp SAE.

I am getting the files from the guy. It was a different dyno than I normally use. He was supposed to print the SAE numbers. I did a couple cars and was out of time so i didn't even bother to check the print out. He likes to run the dyno Uncorrected for tuning then convert to the desired correction factor for the print out. Not a bad idea really. He said it takes the computer out of it for tuning. The correction factor was 1.00 so I didn't catch the difference. From my experience you can drop 10rw from both and be pretty close. I will post up SAE when I get it.

It rained. No results. I have surgery this week so I will have to wait a month or so to get back to the track. Gonna throw the headers on as soon as I am able and do a re tune on "my" dyno.

SAE 366/359rw. So subtract 10rw from STD. The strange thing is the correction factor was 1.00 for STD. I am assuming that the correction factor for STD and SAE are different. I will post the graph when I am not on my phone.

STD:
Air Temperature: 60F
Absolute Pressure: 29.92 inches Hg
Relative Humidity: 0%
Relative Horsepower : 104.8%

SAE:
Air Temperature: 77F
Absolute Pressure: 29.23 inches Hg
Relative Humidity: 0%
Relative Horsepower : 100%

That 17* difference is a big part of it. Notice the 4.8% relative horsepower difference. It's not a set amount like "10whp", since it would be much bigger on a 1000whp car or much smaller on a 100whp car.

I just went back through my WinPep files and it is about 10rw from 350rw to 600rw. That is why I posted it. My question on the weather correction is if STD shows a correction of 1.00 the SAE will show .99 for the same conditions? It must be due to the fact it reads lower.
