HELLCAT vs C7 Z06 VETTE
The Vette is making 650 HP with the LT4 engine and is approx. 1000 lbs. lighter than the Hellcat and this is the result. Hmm !
BTW, isn't this the same LT4 engine( rated at 640 HP ) that's supposed to be used in the 2016 CTS-V and will weigh 4120 lbs.

I think it's great. I'm clearly a GM guy, but I don't give a **** who's faster as long as this HP battle continues! I want to see a factory 1kHP car someday... LOL

I would hope the Hellcat owner's have figured out that if you're going to race ANYTHING from a dig they better have a damn good big tire ( drag radial ) out back.
Didn't the Hellcat record a 10.85 with a drag radial. Not sure but even if the Vette has launch control I don't think it can run the 1/4 in the 10's.

The 2015 Charger is said to be faster than the Challenger with a 11.0 ET on street tires, a 10.7 in the 1/4 on drag radials and a top speed of 204 MPH.
Looks like the title of fastest and quickest sedan won't be going to the 2016 CTS-V but to a Dodge !

Yes. From a dig (both with drag radials) it is going to be a very close race. Much closer than in the video. The C6Z hit 10.9 with radials and a pro driving. 10.5 Should be easy with the same in the C7Z, which is what the Hellcat did. Either way, rent the track, or enjoy your one run before they kick you out. Then go get your brand new 70k+ car caged. Both are awesome cars! That corvette will school that hell cat around turns though. I'd guess enough so, that it won't catch back up on the straights.

And of course this is all with factory bikes. Add an exhaust, air filter and a good tune to a bike and these races will look worse. If they have nitrous, you might as well look away.
Video for reference:That is an 850 HP GTR and a bike with and exhausts and tune (with no speed limiter) Not sure why the GTR was awarded the win? Looks like the Busa crossed first, oh well. Anyway, that bike was not launched like a pro, and that car as you know is all wheel drive.

huh? I wouldn't take it that far. A 1k GSXR does 0-60 in around 2.5 or less, and a Kawi ZX14R it doing a 1/4 in 9.7 (busa 9.8) seconds stock. It will not take a pro rider on these bikes to walk both of these cars. They might start to gain on the bike around 150-160 mph and then pass them since bikes are limited to 184 and need more HP to maintain the acceleration......but unless these roll races are going that fast (likely not, but there are a few with the *****) liter bikes are still at an advantage.

Besides the DR's it supposedly was reportedly runnng on 109 octane fuel .
Makes one think maybe a tune, a sneaky pete shot of NO2 or is the stock computer designed to recognize higher octane fuel and automatically bump up the timing to take advantage of the higher octane ?
Would be interesting to learn what the deal is.
