Electrical Specs for our cooling fans.
Hi all, I'm absolutely sick and tired of trying to pull and put back in our cooling fan brick while trying not to damage radiator fins, abs lines etc. While my car is apart (and now that I have a new alternator w 20 xtra amps) I'd like to cut out existing **** fans and replace with some slim lines with more cfm pull. But I need to know what our fans use for input. 12v? 20, 30 40 amps draw, etc. Has anyone replaced their fans and if so what did you go with. And does anyone know our elec specs input? Thanks. If I find a better fan that can plug and play, I'll do it, take pics and make how to.

I want slim "2 - 2.5 inch deep fan with more than what we're pulling. And I want to cut out our fans and faceplant new ones onto factory shroud. btw I think we have two 12 in fans correct? The shroud is 26 inches.

my plan started just like yours, LOL. then i decided to go with the Meziere electric pump and messed everything up. i have been working on this fan project for months and in two more weeks the custom shroud will be done so i can finally wire them up and see if it was worth it.
the fans are no deeper than the factory setup radiator to furthest point on the fan motor.
factory fans are 12 inch. the shroud is 26" x 17 i think. i just finished cutting it up to use as a template for the new aluminum shroud.

did a lot of research and never could really find what the CFM was on the stock fans.
I was trying to get as close to 4000 CFM I could and I looked at tons of fans. SPAL has the best line of choices.
i wanted you to see how the dimensions of those fans line up with the factory shroud to help you in your search. i was proud when i first got them and even purchased enough epoxy to install. I mean after i cut out the stock fans and those laid in there almost like they were made for it. after i moved everything and clearanced for that 1/2", I totally forgot about the condensor and it put me back at square 1.

DRATTT!!! Plugged fan up to car and never turned on. Car temp ran up to 210, sigh. Will have to get battery into fluke meter and ring out lines and check to see if power is being applied. I thought they were supposed to come around 190 deg.
