Default Hellcat vs the World vid

In case anybody is interested in seeing how "others" including a V2 are doing when going against a Hellcat here's a vid that will show how they have fared so far and what kind of power you might need.

Was thinking the same as you. This Hellcat is bone stock which makes me wonder what's it going to be like with some go fast mods and a tune.

Can remember their engineers saying that getting 1000 HP from that engine and having it "live" shouldn't be a problem.

Once modded these things are going to be a real force to be reckoned with.

Looks like the car has no problems against the new Z06. Or really any car for that matter this car is crushing a lot of cars on the streets. Far from hard to go fast when one is already trapping 133 mph.

Bs video. Apparently a bolt on v2 keeps up with it but a 408 procharged c6 gets left behind? Last I checked the c6 should be over 600whp. And the v2 less then 600

sounded like the vette spun really bad the 1st 2 gears then it was coming back faster than that 800 wheel gt500... Very surprised the tune only v2 pulled away... Sure it didn't at least have a pulley? Even with the pulley the v2 would be down 100+ rwhp

Those vids showed me the Hellcat has plenty of gear to keep it in the middle of the powerband. The bolt on 150shot Camaro (which is bs if you ask me) flat out ran away from that thing bc he was in the right gear.

Not bad for a stock car though.

BTW, it has been confirmed that the supposed stock Hellcat that ran a 10.48 @ 133 mph at a Texas track a short while back was running a 100 shot of nitrous along with 109 octane race fuel.

100 shot with no tune is pushing it. And I heard about the fuel still fast as hell.

The other " stock " Hellcat that was at that Texas track is reported to have run 11.05 @ 126 MPH on its street tires.

Beware of the new 392's 8 speeds running around also. They do 11.90's out of the box on the stock F1 tires.

Lol that cobalt... The mighty turbo 4 LNF... I miss my ol cobalt. Its like half the weight of that hellpig.

So lesson of that video, it doesn't take all that much to run with a hellcat? Hell if a cobalt can do it with the shitty weight transfer on acceleration, it won't be that hard lololol.

Still 700bhp under warranty... EPIC. And the way dodge does forced induction in the past, they might release "stage kits" to up the power under warranty as well. That would be badass.

By the way, the cobalt is a LSJ (originally supercharged) with a S256 turbo swap on 30psi, stock bottom end, mild built trans. Kinda pathetic that the cobalt can hang that close to a car that costs probably 10x more than you can get a turbo swapped lsj cobalt for right now lol... That little LSJ could catch him too, with a little bigger of a turbo.

"Stock bottom end?" Impressive.

The Hellcat is going to appear all over the tuner world with four-figure hp. Good for Chrysler.

I just think its funny they gave it the motor that the viper has deserved for years.

Edit: they did get the new viper right though IMO

Yes but what he forgot to tell you is that the "stock bottom end" is forged. AND it comes with piston cooling jets, oil cooler, and sodium-filled exhaust valves... It was also named one of the 10 best engines in 2006. Of course I am a little partial to these as I also own on 07 Solstice GXP with the LNF engine. 25 psi of boost in a daily driver makes it a nice car for the wife. I can see meth injection in the very near future for her care.
