Default Guess i should jump in the fray. Newerish V2 Owner.

So. I got rid of my powerstroke and my 08 GP GXP, Blew a wad of savings, blew the tax refund, and dipped into other funds i never should've touched...

...for this:

2012. Black Raven, Black wheels, Recaro, Sunroof, 6spd. 11k miles when i picked it up.

It proceeded to get:

Metco 2.5, Ebay Chinafiber intake pipe, Box mod, K&N, 63lb Injectors and a Tune at New Era Performance.

The Results:

I'm over on ctsvowners mostly...but still drop in from time to time.

Since the dyno i've added a varimax IC pump and a Norcal tank arrives tuesday. Up after that is a HX and an exhaust of some sort after the wedding.

So...Hi...and stuff...

Well I wish you luck on your top ramen and peanut butter journey, haha. I have to fight myself daily not to go mod crazy, but it sounds like you went a bit farther than I would be willing to...nice car, though (V2 = automatically nice).

It's not that bad yet. I can still eat hamburger helper at least.

Not exactly crazy. the pulley, intake and tune are standard stage 1 stuff. the results exceeded expectations though...

I do fight the urge everyday to sell the turbo hayabusa and send the V away for a forged lower/TFS upper/cam/ported everything/squash/E85 death machine.

Naw, I meant the dipping into savings and other funds to buy the car + mod, not just the mods. But yes, those are impressive numbers for not much money.

the bright side is before i blew a wad of cash on the car i also paid a bunch of other **** off...the financial hit was actually negligible compared to before...mods were primarily financed by selling spare parts from the bike and previous cars...i ate a little interest on the icebox and IC pump only because those were so cheap and popped up the same day mere minutes apart.

I'm glad i squirreled all the money away in the first place though. The next time i do that it's gonna be a house. i need someplace to park the V in the winter. lol

Indeed. I'll hopefully be buying a house this fall and the wife knows it needs a big garage because, well, we all have a disease.
