Default another starter/battery thread

(Long winded I apologize)
So I go to start the Llac yesterday after sitting for a week and it popped right off, drove to get some air at a gas station and went to start up and "click", so I threw the jumpers on it it starts right up...I drove for a half hour and had 14+ volts the whole way..get to where I replaced the PCV baffle and finish up and no start, took the 6 month old battery to Autozone to get it checked and they said it was good with 89% charge..threw it back in and "click", put the cables on it again and it fired right off...beat the hell out of it for 20 mins or so and parked to get ready to go out, what do ya know "click" no start..the starter has been in and out literally 20x this summer and its heat wrapped since my headers aren't coated or wraped everything is intact with no visible abnormal wear..the starter is 2yrs old and I think it's odd it'll start with a jump but not without...any input would be appreciated.

sometimes the extra juice on the system will mask a starter on the way out. i had the EXACT symptoms. i replaced fuses, relays, battery. still had the issue. put a starter on it and she hasnt let me down since. you can jump the relay and rule that out if you want but my bet is the starter. eventually mine got to the point a jump would not help anymore.

Beat the starter or car? Beating the starter is a no no. But what he ^ said. Starter is dead. Or there is a bad connection on the solenoid side of things.
