Default Finally some dyno numbers for my V. 570/520rw.

Some of you may remember that this car was possibly for sale a while back. People asked for numbers. Well, the car is definitely for sale now and the dyno numbers are in.

It was 94* in the dyno room and it was raining around my area this morning so not the best day to dyno. I am attaching a screen shot of the pull. As you can see, I am out of air and MAF at 5,600 rpm. Coolant temp was 195* and tire pressure was at 35psi. Car was strapped down hard since it spun the first pull. I was battling a rich condition that I couldn't get rid of from 4-5,600 that cost me about 10rwtq. I was also having to use the PE table for fuel after 5,700. yes, the VVE table has been tuned. I think the combo as it sits on a good day would go 580/535rw. With some mods I have in plan for who ever buys it, probably close to 600rw. I just re did the entire top end last weekend and changed all the fluids from front to back with RP.

Mods:
Mods: 15,000 miles on motor and mods:

That's some really impressive numbers for 243s..no matter what's done to them.

The battery box needs to be churched up and the intake tube needs to be painted. I think I am going to re-do the rims as well. Everything else is really nice.

Thank you. I really wanted to throw a 2.100/1.60 valves in them to see what I could really do with them. Now I just have to figure out where this air restriction is and tackle that. I guess I should have cleaned my air filter.

You will probably see a gain going from the 90mm TB to a 102mm TB.

I put a flow straightener in the intake tube to help out the LS7 MAF. I put it just in the tube from the filter. I am wondering if sliding it back towards the MAF will allow the air to not get buffered at the filter if that makes sense. It would allow a larger turbulent air mass into the tube from the filter then smooth it out.

Here is the link to what I used. I am pretty sure I have the 100mm 7:1. Could have been 103mm. It really took out the turbulence and helped the MAF signal. I think I am going to slide it back. I lightly glued it in place though. Hope the link helps.

Why not bump the maf on rpm higher and let the natural ve dictate the g/s?

I did that and my idle was great with my e67 setup...

Not sure I am following. I tuned the VVE in SD first and then added the MAF back in and tuned from there. The turbulence was at very light cruise so I put the honey comb in. There are no idle issues.

In your tune there is a parameter to enter and exit the high speed airflow controlled by the maf.

If its below 3000rpm it will rely on ve and above 3200 it will rely on the maf. Also cruising it will go to the maf

I have mine adjusted as above mentioned

Whats your intake setup?

I have 102mm Maf goin to 102mm intake tubin and then 102mm tb.

I am tracking now. Mine is set to the stock 4,000 rpm setting. I have messed with it in the past and haven't seen much. I know some guys take it all the way down to 800 rpm. I will have to do some testing on it. Do you have EFI Live? I can email you the tune and log from that dyno pull. Could tell you more about what I have going on.

The intake is K&N filter fit over a 4" tube with the LS7 MAF in it. I have that honey comb right at the leading edge of the tube at the filter. I am thinking that may be part of my issue. Then the 4" rubber elbow that I had to put some cut aluminum tubing in to keep it from collapsing. Then into my ported stock LS2 90mm TB and then into the FAST 102 I ported.

Why do you say you are out of air at 5600? Is the maf pegged? I cant see the frequency there.

Quick Reply: Finally some dyno numbers for my V. 570/520rw.
