2004 CTS-V Turbo: First Day out 10.4 @ 139 mph.
Last Friday got the new combo out for the first time for some shakedown passes. Wasn't quite sure what to expect but I had been pleased with how the car had come together and how it was running for an unproved setup that has been both built and tuned by my friends and I.
It's definitely a bit trickier to launch than the blower combo, but over all I was able to best a 1.58 60' when I got it decent. Unfortunately I didn't make a full pass on that particular run. Just glad to know it's capable.
Anyhow, here is the best ET of the day, still on wastegate boost. As you can see, the launch was a struggle, but really looking forward to dialing in the next time out.

Thanks Bud! This is just the beginning man.
Merc. Suspension is fairly simple. I took a set of rear Ground control Sleeves off of my other V1 when I had it to try them, added a set of 750lb rear springs and left the stock shocks. Front is 100% stock with the sway bar removed. That said, I am pretty happy with the rear suspension, the front however is in need of some double adjustable shocks. I think they would help quite a bit to slow the rise and fall of the nose during the launch and keep weight planted on the rear once it has transfered. Of course, that's not going to benefit me until I really nail the launch down as much as possible with the current setup.
