Default Coolant Temperature Sensor

Having issues finding the right temp sensor. I broke the original off with my clumsy self when I was removing the headers. I have tried Duralast SU112 which I just kept getting a High Input from and ACDelco 213-4333 which just constantly reads -36 degrees. What parts numbers are you guys using? My next bet would be Delphi and I have heard nothing but issues with Valucraft

What year is your V? I am wondering why your part number is different and if it is different between the LS6 and LS2 versions. I just order the Delphi and will try that, I am running out of part numbers. My old sensor still works, though it is just prongs, so I know it isnt on the Harness side

Edit: I realised I may be having grounds/electrical issues that could be causing the -36 readout

Anyone have a ohm chart for these sensors? I found where my two sensor wires were shorting across each other, but still have issues with proper read out and/or even a read. I want to make sure the three sensors I have are good still before i go deeper into the jungle of wires.

Can anyone measure the ohms across the ect connector on the V, preferably 04 or 05. Getting 4.55kohms. I do get 5V at the connector, trying to see if this is a normal read out or if it can be a reason for my high input dtc

Is it fluctuating when you warm the car up? Even the service manual says nothing about the ohm range

it is, but what I am wondering is with the 4.55k ohm on the harness end + the resistance of the sensor is whats giving me a high input value. That is why I am hoping someone will take a ohm reading off the connector and let me know what value it is, so I can base it off of another break in the wire, or worse, the pcm

So apparently the service manual is supposed to have a temp vs resistance chart for the sensor. Can't find it on my phone but will look on my computer for it.......

Pretty pissed my manual is not as compleat as I thought (15 bucks mmmm, surprise!!!)
But I found little on the subject mentioned in there

I do like the bit about comparing the value to the iat on a cold start. Don't suppose you have access to an OBD scanner to confirm what your dic is telling you? Is your trans temp/ oil, anything else out of whack?

I don't remember reading about you having driving issues, hard starts, over heating or your fans running ***** out all the time. I hate to say it but if the value is correct on a scanner it is in the dash.

Thnx for the find Vroom, the only thing I found out is that the range is between 5.5k to 900 ohms. I do have a scanner, torque pro shows the same thing, I have a sneaky suspicion that it may be my connector, only because I went through the whole damn wire harness and didn't find anything. So i am going to pull the pins out and try that, already have another connector on order. If it is not that, then I guess ill start at the PCM

It is my connector, after pulling the pins and putting them straight into the sensor, the ect is working fine, just waiting on the new connector to get here now.

http://troubleshootmyvehicle.com/gm/...-temp-sensor-1

with the pins out, measured around 500 ohms, big *** difference fromt he 4.5k i was seeing
