These are pics straight from the shop, I'll have some better pics once I get the car cleaned up.

Damn does it sound good.... but I still need to do some tuning on it.

Thanks guys! Actually it's a 13W6v2. I thought about a W7, but the guy at the shop really talked me out of it. The 13W6v2 is really more of a SQ sub so it plays a lot cleaner. The setup is like this:

Stock head unit
MB Quarts Q-Series (6 1/2")
JL Audio CleanSweep
JL Audio 300/2 (front amp)
JL Audio 500/1 (sub amp)
JL Audio 13W6v2 Sub

Houston Car Stereo on Hillcroft did the install - they've been doing the stereos in my cars for years, real great people to work with.

As far as the lighting, I thought about it - I have to wait and see what happens.

Next is probably going to be wheels, and hopefully by then Vortech will have gotten off of their *** and made a blower kit for the car which I'll get after that

That is cool, I was thinking Headers, full exhaust, tune, Volant "just ordered on GP" and 100shot of gas for fun.

Real nice!
I'm about to dive into an install when I find the time...I have a question, where did they place the cleansweep? Before, or after the stock Bose amp?

I also have a cleansweep and was told I would loose the fader, factory volume control and probably the DSP if I installed it before the bose amp.

I'm not quite sure. I know that my faders, factory volume and DSP all work just fine. So, I'm not quite sure why they would say that.

MastaAce98,

You need to gome to the "V" meet next Saturday at 1:00 at the Hooter's in the Woodlands. I'm sure there are a lot of guys that would love to see your car. We've got about 8 committed right now.

Well, it looks like they put a couple of LC6s after your stock amp. The cleansweep needs 4 full range inputs to work correctly, and since the bose amp doesn't have any full range outputs, they need the LC6s to put everything back again. At least, this is what the JL rep told me. Do you have your invoice? Could you look to see if you have some equipment charges, probably two pieces for around 40 to 70 bux?

If it doesn't mention anything, could you tell me who did your install? I live in Houston and could go talk with them...thanks!

MastaAce98,

The 12th it is at Hooter's in the Woodlands.

Mat347,

I think your right on the Audio Control LC6's. I've been looking at changing everything out on mine also. I think with adding the Clean Sweep after these you wouldn't have to use it's volume control. I've been kinda waiting to see how some of the other guys are handling this. Maybe you can join us also on the 12th since your in Houston.

So far I have just done a small upgrade for the sub. It made a difference but I'm ready for more.
