Nah! That hood looks too low quality to put on such an elegant car, the lines aint sharp enough and they dont line up at the headlamps.

it looks kida like a stang hood. Not straight like a checy cowl but rounded off a bit.

IMO, it doesnt look that bad. THe lines flowing from the grill or the edge of the grill DO flow through the hood and the ends are flat to match the quarter panel level.

HOwever, it looks off, imo, because a its not painted and that always kills it....always. You can never get a good assestment until you paint match any new body parts. Also, the grill meets hood section is weird, like its missing the top part of the grill. The front license plate doesnt help either.

Also, and i know i use this word alot but id ont care!!!!.....the hood doesnt seem to be fitten right. It needs to be more snug to the front panel or made with a lower hanging lip on it.

Its not that bad but its needs to be painted and seen from different angles to really see the true form of this hood. PErsonally, i would get it if it could look as pimp as the car does, not a drag-lite hood on a race car!!! Which isnt bad either....

The cowl hood originally came on the 70 Chevelle, not a truck.

I'll take the plain hood please. Cowl hoods on current cars/trucks are stupid. The purpose of the cowl was to take in cool air at the high pressure area where the hood meets the windshield. Since late model cars don't have carbs anymore they're pointless and look redneck.

BTW, I do love them on the 70-72 Chevelles.

Default hood

Guys, the hood is in primer. Its not done and this is a test fit. Its also a duplicate of the 2006 Cadillac STS cowl only a touch higher. Im not begging for customers here. I just did this for forum owners. For those not interested, dont buy it. I do have 8 other pics some are on the Cadillac forum for anyone interested. Its actually quite good. Also, this is the plug, its a factory hood with a cowl molded on it so the fit is factory.

How about a link to the other pics...

Personally, I'd like to see a hood for the V with a subtle power bulge like the old Buick GNs. Just enough to say, "there's something potent going on under here..."

you know, taking a closer look, it would be better if you had JUST the louvers and not the cowl section. IT knda defeats the lines of the sumped hood between the head lights. It seems that the slights/louvers in the hood is what most V owners desire since the debut of the V racing team.

I dont know, but i applaud the effort. This is time consuming and lshould be appreciated if you dont like it.

Lass,

I think it looks good, realizing this is a prototype, and knowing the process personally, it will not look finished until it is.

Good work by whoever, and hopefully this will be in a price range I could consider one.

And to the redneck commenter, if you don't like it, don't buy it!

I do hope tho, at least for some opening in the rear area to at least vent out some hot air.

yeah, i do like the idea of there being bents since these motors do get hot quick!!!!

I agree, we can opinionate but respectfully.....

The redneck comment is quite unnecesary since the cowl was a chevy exclusive and is one of the first methods of ram air induction. It was developed by GM and copied by the rest so a bit of respect is order.

I like the hood, the concept of adding heat extractors would be great to battle heat soak.
