Count me in for the GP.
I would really love a Twin Turbo for the V as well. (STS rear mount or Lingenfelter)

I thought you guys would get a kick out of these whiny bitches at the other forum who rather deny their precious cars had a weak link rather then fix it.
Ya better check my threads out before they are deleted.
Their forum is such a joke.

Don't you guys have anything better to do than criticize my site? It's always something with you guys.

If Thunder Racing/Madman Racing has a solution to the rear-end issues of the CTS-V, than they stand to make a nice profit by selling this solution to our members. The least they can do is help support the existence of such a client base... Or don't. I won't lose any sleep over it.

Actually he is probably pretty close. There is a lot more to this rear then you might think. We are talking about a custom billet center section, 9" 3rd member (just the internals are almost $1500), custom half shafts that will handle 1000hp, and a custom driveshaft. Now we haven't even talked about all of the time and fab work to make this all come together. This is not a mod for the average V owner but for someone serious about taking thier car to the next level.

I would suspect youll get takers @ 5K/per. But youll do a land office business at 3-3.5K. (I will be one of them either way)

Thanks again for the hard work...I still have to talk to you folks (already hit MM up for potential interest) :>

I dont know why you cant read (or search for that matter)..

Here is a madman post (pictures too) of his rear end CONCEPT at cadillacforums..

http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...ghlight=madman

Nobody is censoring anything... We just deleted your thread because it was a DUPLICATE of about 3 existing threads on an aftermarket rear diff....

Even if you were mad a nice e-mail may have solved the problem. Instead, you chose to SPAM the forum... I would NEVER do that anywhere... It is very immature.

Ya well I was thinking kind of along the lines of 2000-3500 depending on features. Considering I know that there is at least 20-30 people that are in line for this as soon as it hits the market.

The Vette rears from DTE are in that price range depending on stage you get, I guess there will be only one stage 1000rwhp and that is it.

Well either way it will be interesting to say the least. I wouldn't consider myself the average V owner. I will put out most with this car 500 to 600rwhp. I am at 460ish with a 100shot. But have waited to upgrade the car anyfurther till a new rear comes out. But 5K for me is out of the question, guess I might have to be just average LOL

A fully loaded 12-bolt or 9" rear solid axle for a camaro/firebird from Moser is 2200-3000 so we have to be realistic here.

Yeah but again you are comparing apples to oranges here. From DTE you are getting some upgraded parts in a used factory case. With the CTS-V you will be get a complete new custom billet housing plus internals, and half shafts, and a drive shaft. When they make 35,000+ V a year then maybe mass production will be an option but as long as it stays as it it will be a one off custom unit.

No hook line and sinker here, I still have the original Differential in the car. So I figure I can get the dif replaced once or twice with the new unit, and wait till price goes down in a year or two. I have time and patience, and to cure my need for speed I will maybe just go out and buy a R6 and wait. LOL

Yep I understand the DTE deal, that makes sense never thought of it that way. As for the 9" I bought one with full spool, 35 spline axles, moser from you for 1900-2000, then of course paid for the center section to be put together, and put this in my old 98 SS camaro. I ordered most of my parts from TR. I worked on a lot of cars with STEVE FRANK, in houston.

So i understand that things are going to cost money, but 5K. I will be below average sorry.

forget it...not important!!!!

yeah, we are all hook line and sinker...this is a much needed item and i wouldnt price it to make millions but to sell a million of the unit.

I agree that the price shouldn't be expected to be as affordablea s arebuilt 9" or 12 bolt. Its an independent rear, for starters, and its billet and will take more abuse that we want to throw at it....

However, the V isnt a mass production vehicle and unfortunately, that is a consideration manufactures will have to take.

Maybe it could introduced with a few different stages to accomidate the needs of the customers particular level of power.

Damn I'm out in the shop working on the V and you guys start going crazy about the price.

If you want a price as of now then I have 65 hrs @ $50.00 an hour. I have $500.00 in overnite charges to and from the machine shop. I have $5500.00 in machine shop parts and labor. I havent gotten to the halfshft pricing or driveshaft or my time for testing. If someone wants to send me a check today then these rearends will be ready to go.

Be patient myself and Thunder are trying to put out a KICKASS product for a very fair price. The fit and finish will be out of this world. Bear with me guys.

I have no doubt about it your work is the one of the best in the business. I have seen a lot of it first hand Brian. So no biggie there, just waiting patiently. No problem. I will make sure to come by this next time in town. We have meet on several occasions, out at the track and stuff with Jeff Paris, Jason.
