Use this calculator, as you want to be as close to the stock tire set-up as possible:

Check these prices:

Looks like $40.00 less per tires before you calculate shipping.

Why 45 series, Stay in the 30's if you are going to track them! Less flexability compared to a 40 or 45....I ran TIR 35's and 30 on the track on my old V. Worked perfect.

Jim turned me on to keeping my eyes peeled to the Hoosier Website for deals:
https://www.hoosiertire.com/discontinuedtires.htm
I scored a set of 4 Dicontinued Grand Am Cup tires, for $606 total, shipped! 245/40/18. The description said they are based on the R6, but are a tad harded to last longer (grand am races are about 3 hours long), which is a bonus for me. I'll give upa bit of grip, to have them last longer. They are still Hoosier Slicks
Note that they are significantly wider than standard 245's, I'm told it's due to the 'square' sidewall. I'm getting them mounted on the rims on left sometime in the next week or two.

There's no harm in running a shorter sidewall on the track. Doing so will give you a lighter tire, higher gearing and even lower the car for better handling. That's exactly what I do for autocross.
