overlays so i tried putting one of the tailight overlays on and was battling it the whole time. i ended up getting it to hot an ripped it.
does anyone have any tricks for meeting up the seems on the different piece of overlay? i didnt get that far but it seems like it would be a real pain

Umm, what the hell are you talking about??? If you use 4-6 cans per car i would hate to see what your car look like, one can is all you need and you wont even use it all.

I have just one can and so far I've done the reverse lights, third brake light, & corner markers and I still have half a can. All of the lights are pretty well blacked out as well (I did about 3-4 coats each). I probably still have enough if I decide to do the tails as well.

I used niteshades first and it didn't come out like I wanted. Used niteshade, clear, wetsand, buff and it just didn't look right. I'm sure it was 100% my fault but unless you have 1st hand experience painting and wet sanding I'd leave it to the pro's.

always done mine myself, as long as you can spray paint it's easy...heres some pics...did two cars and still have half a can...am I mr. know it all too???

idk if you bought a jumbo can or sumshyt but the cans
my friend had were small, i watched him finish up his gt500
lenses, and he said, he used 4 cans. he wet sanded each coat
lightly after it dryed. i thought he did an exelent job. maybe
his method was overkill??

I think that was overkill, and probably why he needed so many coats.....but I just laid down 2-3 coats waiting 10min in between, then let that dry, then cleared it, only then did I wet sand.

lol, no but you still gotta know what your doing or you'll create hills and valleys then your lights will look wavy.....just do some reading, theres a million guides out there for niteshades.
