Default automatic V.

Does anyone know if the cts-v came in a automatic? If so what years?

First gen V's ('04-'07) only came in manual, and no, no one has retrofit an auto b/c they wouldn't fit.

2nd Gen ('09+) have the option...

That's because I don't think they ever made an '08 V.

Sure they fit. Contact RPM Transmissions. The car needs to be an 06-07. Then you need to get the controller from John @ Speartech. They will do the swap and provide the trans. They told me that I cannot supply my own trans fro the swap.

Do they cut out the trans tunnel too?

No cutting necessary. There is a special tool made for that particular installation.

RPM will put an auto into anything that GM makes.

I'm having 07 z06 and putting an auto into it.

RPM and IPS Motorsports converted my 07 Z over to an automatic too. Best money I've ever spent!

the V is a bit different, it has been discussed already, until i see some pictures of an actual swap into a V everything above is BS to me.

Did you call RPM? I talked to them about a year and a half ago when I was going to buy a V so I don't rememebr the whole conversation. But they said they can do it and quoted a price. That's why in my post I said only an 06-07. I did not just make up the info.
