Kooks 1 7/8 w/HF cats, stock resonator, muffler delete
Sorry for the tease Ill post a vid later today. I installed them yesterday and after removing the drivers side manifold I found that the back passenger header bolt was snapped off the passneger side manifold and flush with the head(big F***ing headache). Manifolds and cats were off in literally 20 minutes but took over an hour to get the bolt out.Steering shaft was also a pain to get back in after removing to install the drivers side. Car pulls much much better even untuned(ask the Vert SS I ran last night from 2nd) and the car sounds great from 3500-redline it reallys screams up top but normal driving and cruising it sounds the absolute same as just the muffler delete. Ill post a vid later today. Im in love with the new soiund minus the exhaust leak at the connector pipe that Ill have to fix. I have magnapacks sitting in the basement but I honestly dont think im gonna put them on it sounds just right now.

you dont wanan know lol, it was broke flush in the head so be took a cutting wheel with the smallest blade and cut a slit in it, then had to heat it slightly with a torch knowing the head was aluminum and use a flathead socket attached to a wrench to pop it loose, it took about an hr but we finally got it and the gasket and bolt all went on just fine. i was scared **** less doing it haha

I didnt do studs just used the bolts that came with the headers along with brand new GM gaskets. The car does have a pretty bad exhaust leak from where the connector slides onto the stock catback because the clamps that come with them arent the best so ill have that fixed tomorrow. There is some rasp between shifts due to the leak i believe and will sound a little smoother once its fixed and tuned. here is the long awaited vid, ill post another tomorrow when i get the leak fixed. Its definetly not as loud as in the vid trust me and with the windows up its pretty quiet.

And for those wondering, i have about an inch of clearance on the drivers side from the steering shaft so no denting or anything was required. The headers were just built the 16th so maybe the redesigned it a little from the first ones they came out with. I read about a bunch of people having to do stuff to clear the shaft with the 1 7/8.

I wouldn't expect much of a change in sound. That sounds basically the same as mine. I do get a little popping... but that is just muscle. And I agree 100% that inside the car it is still pretty quiet. I am almost tempted to lose the resonator, but if I do a cam I think it will be good the way it is.

Sounds great!!!
I still remember getting my B&B 1st Gen back in late 2004, they looked so purdy in the box I almost jizzed, too. Aside from the leaks and busted bolts, they are one of my favorite mods, right after the supercharger.
