Wet or dry shot?

a microswitch would be good to cut the nitrous if it goes lean

im no expert

but a good nitrous controller is a must and making sure your fuel system is capable. I also do not know the limits of the shortblock and pistons

I would talk to nitrous outlet

YES you will need to retune. Also when nitrous goes through a positive displacement blower like yours its going to pick up more then its pilled for. Id start with a 75, you'll get over 100 out of it

+ 1 ^^^^^^^ plus make sure your clutch and all are in good shape for the added power.

it should last but with that much power your talking easily of 600 crank hp, how long can a forced induction stock shortblock hold that. Ill be pushing that envelope as well soon so just dont be suprised if it doesnt hold together.

A 75 shot was goof for like 110RWHP on my old cobra when I sprayed it. I would 100% most certainly get a tune for it also.

That clutch will not hold. It is rated for 500 at the crank in a 3000 lb car, you want it to hold 550 at the wheels on a 4000lb car. It held a 150 shot on mine at the drag strip fine but unless your maggie only makes 50 whp then you are going to be out of luck.

Its also one of those things you just never know. Depends on driving style as well.

Id spend the money on a cam setup, or maybe a smaller pulley.

Nitrous is nice and good HP for the money but your realy going to push that motor with nitrous plus a maggie.

ya like i said easy hp for the money. But you want it to be safe when making maggie power, you gotta be carefull.

does a kit for 3-400 include everything needed for a wetshot? im not fimiliar with kit pricing but id want a bottle heater and a setup that turns on and off with the throttle.

gonna be hard to find a good kit with the heater and switches(wot, window) for 300-400 plus install can be iffy if the wires are cut too short and such.

Id just maximize your setup the way it is with a blower friendly cam that will just help with your power all around.

LS7 clutch will hold depending on driving style. My car did 500+rw on motor and 650+rw on the first stage, it held fine for awhile on the first kit but as soon as i started grabbing the big kit the clutch would go up in smoke

Yup exactly, 3-400 isnt going to buy you a good kit , cant go wrong with a good cam kit ontop of a maggie. Costs alittle more but you can have feel alot better about pushing the car hard.

Why? what are you changing in the tune? Im assuming the OP is using some kind of controller with timing retard built in so other than that what else can there be?
