Default New wheeldude.com Veneto 19x8.5/19x10 w/ 295 rears on 05 V

nice, real photos:
http://www.gearnutlab.com/p445927940

and for the guy wanting a side shot...took 2m ago on camera phone, best i can do:

side shots just put so much noise above and below the car, which is why magazines generally take the angles to fill up the shot w/ car instead of background.

would be nice to see a full side profile shot. not 7 shots of the same front angle and 4 shots of the same rear angle .

Is it me or does it look like the rears either stick out a bit? Is there any rub?

My rears, PS2 295/30/19, on a 10" rim stick out a tiny bit, unless you eyeball them from front, back and above, you will not notice. You will not have rubbing at stock height.

If the camera/lighting/lens are accurate, they need to be darker, JMO.

pics in full sun, hyperblacks, stock height, no rubbing...not even dangerously close, they fit flush up top which is what really matters, so you do see some tread beyond the body panels in the rear down low.

At night or on cloudy days the wheels look much darker.

I'll get a side shot.

No need for MAP trailing arms. Just like i said over there...the trailing arms are only a small part of clearance problems on big wheels/tires. The inner frame has about the same clearance.

This is a totally stock suspension w/ FG2 shocks. No need for widened trailing arms in my opinion because if its wide enough to hit the arm, you'll be dangerously close to the inner frame.

also, by a fluke wheeldude sent me two silvers and two hyperblacks to start with. I had the unfortunate chance to compare the colors side by side. The hyperblacks are much, much darker. The silvers are a brighter silver than the platinum on the car itself, and the calipers. The hyperblacks are darker than the calipers and car providing that touch of pewter type look. it fits real nice and ads a hint on contrast that makes it interesting.

i'll add this side shot up top too...

^^^Yep, looks darker than calipers, nice choice, do not clean off the brake dust, you will like them darker,,, and remember to only use soap and water to clean.

Very tempting but after looking around and realizing tires will be $700 or more... Might as well find used CCW's for that price.

yup, with 19s you have to commit to high priced tires. Falken and Hankook offer some affordable tires in that size. The BFGs are pricey, but not like a Pirelli or Michelin. Lots of guys run Michelin PS2s and those are $1200 even for 18s...

The Hankooks Ventus V12 are affordable, bought 295/30/19 and 255/35/19 in November 2009 from OnlineTires.com and paid $700 plus $75 for shipping; just checked their site and prices are still the same..

Nitto Invos does not do 295 in 19", so you can go 285/30/19 and 255/35/19 at OnlineTires for $820 + $75 shipping.

Not sure if these are lowest price offerings for 19" sizing, but based on PS2s these are both bargains.

How does those v12's stack up performance wise in your opinion? Also what about noise? Haven't put mine on yet.

Still have all four sitting in a stack in my office, as the PS2s currently on the V are almost done in the rear, but upfront I probably still have 3-4K miles left. Sorry I cannot get back to you on the V12s, but I am on my second set of Invos on my C6 and I have never had issues, they are good in rain, good at cornering, quiet on the highway and good for around 20K miles in the rear and a little more than that for the fronts.
