Default mp122 supercharger on CTS-V

Has anyone on this forum put a 122 on a cts-v instead of a 112? I have a 122 that i want to install but am running into issues-belt alignment is #1 issue. I have talked to some of the vendors and it seems no one has done this. I know it has been done but i just need to get a bit of information as to what had to be done custom to make it fit. My 122 came off of a GTO and it sits farther forward then the 122. I could get a custom driveshaft made but is there anything else needed? Any help or advice or pictures of a 122 on a cts-v would be a great help.
Thanks

Sheldon

wait4me did it and posted up pics promising to offer kits and never came through for us. I was ready to do it too! Cash was in hand! not sure where the pics went. I know some custom fab was needed. I know the V and the Vette share the belt spacing and the GTO is like the F-body. The Vette and the V are really shallow offset and the belt sits close to the block to save space. The F-body and GTO have the deeper offset and the belt runs farther away from the block. Looks like you're going to have to pick up a CTS-V jackshaft or maybe even a Vettes might work? No clue

Since i have the 112 off the car and the 122 off the gto-i have looked at ever combination of robbing the parts from one or the other to make it work. The only option i see working is to custom fab a front jackshaft bearing holder with the idler and a custom length shaft-then buy a new hood. I am starting to think there has to be a better option.....

Since you have a 122 what did you use for a jackshaft drive-custom fab or ? How far back does the blower assembly sit on the intake? I have tried to move jackshafts, but I am having issues bolting it up. If you have any good pics it would be helpful so i can determine what intake is being used and a drive shaft length (and making the idler fit) Any help would be appreciated.

The whipple is a great option-i have thought about it but by the time i change to an 8 rib system and put the system on its a really pricy setup. I am considering it BUT my car has sat since Aug 3rd and i have 2 superchargers in the garage (112 and 122) I would like to use one even if for a short time while i think about the whipple.

Have you tried swaping the blower case to the other manifold? I've never been able to look at the 122 in person so I dont know if its doable. Just giving you some ideas.

here are some pics-the polished one is the 122 and the painted one is 112. the 122 when its on the engine sits further forward then the 112. the drive shaft is too long on the 122 BUT if i get a custom shaft that is shorter then the idler location becomes and issue. i dont want to disassemble the 122 but maybe the blower case would fit on intake manifold of the 112-even the bracket that holds the drivesahft on the back of the blower case does not bolt up between the 2.

Personally I would try swapping the case over and also swapping over the back plate. All you need is the 122 case and rotors. You could send both to Wait4me and let him make the "adjustments" to make it fit. If he is willing, he could do it.

if i dont get a forsure that it will work before the weekend then that will be my next option-I think you are right-when i looked at the blueprints of both cases they should interchange on the intake manifold-do i need a special oil in the gear drive once i drain the oil and swap the rear gear drive?

It does take a special synthetic oil. You also need a sealer for the case cause it doesn't use gaskets. You may be able obtain some from magnuson or I know there someone on eBay sells the stuff in a kit I think. Just don't buy any thing from Engineers Anonymous. I sent my blower to the guy to get worked on and he tried to steal it. I had to file a report and my investigator from OKlahoma went to Georgia with a warrent and searched his house. They found my blower along with a **** load of other stuff. They seized everything and took him to jail. I may still have to go to Georgia to testify depending on how he pleads. Just FYI
