Default Dumbest V question ever... but...

Will an electric guitar in a hard shell case fit in the trunk?

I'm looking at buying a car, and I don't have access to a V (or even a regular CTS) to test. This is a necessity for any car I buy (as I usually haul at least 2 of my 3 kids plus guitar & gig bag to church every Sunday - so no guitar in the back seat).

If the guitar fits, I'll be looking (soon) for a bone stock 06 or 07, <45k miles, Light Platinum with ebony interior, within 400 miles of Waco TX (I have a trailer). So if any of you guys are thinking about trading in, send me a PM... I'll consider an 04 or 05, but it has to be stock, have <45k miles and had the rear end upgraded to the newer style. And yep, Light Platinum only, no black, red, or slate gray/blue/green/whatever the hell that other color is called.

The back seats fold down. So, you can see from the trunk to the shifter.
The widest part of the trunk is 46", but you only get 13" of that before it tapers down to about 38" with about 14" of that and about 26" wide at the base of the opening to the passengers compartment. Height is about 18".
Time to buy.

Thanks for the reply, that's really close (38"). Should probably fit.

The answer is yes. I have no problems getting guitar cases into the trunk of my V and lying flat. I can get you a pic if you really want one.

I have a BC Rich flying "V" guitar in a hardshell case that fits easily with small amp in the trunk of mine, can get pics if needed. ( I just realized I have a flying "V" guitar in my V truck... lol)
