Default Sts-v?

I know it's not a LSx, but I figure a high performance GM product is close enough for this section... Anyway I'm soon to be in the market for a 4 door sedan... Originally was looking just at CTS-V's and G8 GT's, but after seeing some prices on low milage 06 STS-Vs they have perked my interested. Looking to hear some of you guy's opinions and experiences with them. I'm especially interested in the longevity/repair on them. Any major issues? I'm assuming they are fairly pricey to work on parts wise.
Thanks

They are great cars but aftermarket is even more limited then the CTS-V's. Its a northstar v8 which is pretty reliable. If you plan to daily drive it and keep it stock go for it. If you wanna eventually go fast, go with a V or G8.

I used to work at a Cadillac dealership and drove them every once in a while. They are nice, but overpriced for what you get I think. The Northstar is a good engine but I would much rather have a LSx. And like the other poster said the after market is very limited. I would definitely go with a G8 GT, those are very nice cars.

The only negative that I have heard is it is all but impossible to get replacement parts. Especially for any body work. I know a few guys have been selling them just for these reason. The fear of needing to replace something and having to put the car on blocks for months on end waiting for parts.

That is a problem for a lot of caddie parts right now. I've heard a story of a guy waiting a YEAR for a steering column.

Yeah, I have two months left on warranty and am trying to make sure every thing is fixed before end of July.... or look into the extended warranty.

Good call! I've never been to that site before, pretty sweet stuff for any Caddy I would even consider owning.

Little bit of reading for you. I tried to find an article where a guy had both cars and said he preferred the CTS-v. Performance he said was very similar but the V would be better for the twisties and was more fun to drive because of the 6-speed.
