04 cts-v things to look for
Hey guys I just found an 04 v with 7000 miles for 25000. I really wanna get it and was curious what I should look for when o test drive tomorrow. Not too familiar with the car other than the basic knowledge like ls6 and t 56 are in it. Any problems I should look for?

make sure the rear diff isnt the oen that came on the car, those ones have a nasty history of blowing up. other then that, just standard car issues...runs fine, no wierd noices, good tires (hopefully not the stock run flats), and just no major issue with the title or damage to the car

Cool thanks for the update. Carfax said it was in. Front end bumper to rear end collision but it was fixed in 07. If it is indeed the stock rear how can I tell and how or what should I upgrade to. This will be a daily driven car.

SoCA is right about the price, since it has a accident on the history, it will be hard for the guy to sell is, i have seen Vs with an accidents (a 07 with less then 30000 miles) not sell, and this guy was asking 13,500 for his.
i would keep looking too, there are some really nice Vs out there for the taking.

Thanks for all the input guys. I've decided not to get it and wait. I want something with under 30000 miles for around mid 20s. I also found out today I need surgery on my acl so ill stick with my auto car for now until afterwards when I know i can drive a stick. I'll keep lurking I'm this forum though cuz I want a v pretty bad. Thanks for all the info and suggestions.

I definitely will post when i buy something. I've been saying for awhile I want a v within the year so I know by spring next year ill have something. My surgery is in October so after the nasty winter I think it'll be the perfect time to buy.
