LS7 Clutches in 2005 CTSV
Does anyone know ANY problems with putting LS7 Clutches in 2005 Vs? I bought one with 7 miles on it and now they're telling me it won't work. Odd deal, but i bought the clutch for my car, and a buddy's clutch went out in his V, so I gave him mine since i had it sitting around and he was going to get me a new one. Long story short, they put it in and it wouldn't go in reverse. They said they looked all over and something about LS7 clutches in 2005 V's don't work. I'll know more tomorrow when i get up the shop but has anyone else had ANNNNNYYYYYY kind of problem with an LS7 clutch not working?!
They put a stock V clutch back in and it worked fine.

Im not happy with any of the aftermarket clutches I have had. Or the one I have now.
Wish I went with a LS7 with the lightweight flywheel.
If I remeber correct sdparts.com had it the cheapest back in the day.
I know alot of guys say it wont last, But theres GTO guys with big Hp drag racing with them and loving it.

You shouldn't have any issue's, but I guess it depends how often you spray. Those clutches are good to about 500rwhp, but those cars are quite a bit lighter. I'm going the same route as you with headers, cam, and spray and I plan to use the ls7 with lighter flywheel.

Mine is at 850 now and that it perfect. Dont have to let the car warm up as much and dont have to worry about having to rev it to keep the rpms up in traffic.
