Default Chicago CTS-V1 Owner

Hello everyone, I finally decided to pop my LS1Tech cherry! Some of you may have seen me on Cadillacforums.

I have a 2005 CTS-V that 's been my daily driver for about a year and a half now. Picked it up with 48k and hit 65k a week ago. So far, other than the typical quirks of the V1, I've been happy with it.

Here are some pics:

At Great Lakes Dragway:

At SP Open House 2k10 on the dyno:

As it sits today:

Anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting new people and discussing the various scriptures entailing to God's motor.

Yea, I still work near the Morningfields. Parking is getting harder and harder to get in the morning so I'm forced to park in a different spot.

Man I thought I saw your V a week or so ago near Irving Park Rd by the tollway. Franklin/Schiller Park area. The decals on the side windows look familiar.

I actually did it myself. It was a budget blackout since the paint and primer used was left over from my DSM build. I went a semi-flat black color for both grills and rims. A friend of mine is going to be tinting my windows, fogs, and side markers soon so it should look a lot nicer when its done.

That's pretty cool, I don't get to see too many V's around so its good to know I'm not the only one.

those rims look nice, exactly what I want..but I still want a stock set on hand so I can switch back here and there.. black caddys with black rims are not exactly inconspicuous!

I'll be in chicago this weekend... never been before!.. heading up interstate 57 the length of the state. I dont plan on "speeding" but I will probably peg it at 72-75 the whole way. I tossed my fuzzbuster many years ago so if there are any historical '1mph over' speed traps that you guys know of, please let me know...thanks

Once the grills and rims got painted, the car started snapping necks. I used to get looks before but not as much as I get now. Even I look at the car differently, I think it gives it a lot more character.

Try not to speed near construction areas since some have photo radar.

Since we're all pretty local, July 25th, my buddies shop is throwing in a grand opening event. Free food, drinks, and some giveaways. You guys are more than welcome to come and hangout!

MSP
367 South Rohlwing Road Unit N Addison IL 60101

It starts at noon but I suggest getting there early since all the goodies are a first come, first consumed basis.
