Default test drove a 6ps manual 5th gen camaro 1ss

I was picking u a pilot bearing and they let me take one out and i must say it was a very nice car to drive. I felt very comfy in the drives seat and there was three of us in the car and we all had room with someone sitting behind me. ( i'm 6'2 235) i liked the trans and really how solid the chassis felt. more so then the gto and even my V. I was really digging the car and if i didnt get vehicles from work to drive daily i would have probably made the move to a 2ss.

i suggest people give it a drive if they can.

Whyyyy . . I I I am shock & appalled!! The thought of you . . . out there feeling up a Camaro and then . . . and then . . coming back here, and espousing about your esoteric escapade!! BLASPHEMOUS I SAY.
So, your car is still, not on the road?

I was dissappointed, i did sit in a 6spd C6 at carmax and talka bout a let down. 6'5" 290lbs doesnt work well in a vette lol. First time ive been in one and lets just say it was less then accomadating. I probably would have sold the V and got it if i could fit.

you are a bigger guy then me, how on earth do you fit comfortably in a V? i have like 1-2" of head room and my seat cant slide back any further. only thing i can think is you have the seat back reclined pretty steeply.

I am trying to figure out how someone sat behind you. I test drove an SS last year before I bought the shelby and I had the drivers seat touching the rear seat and I still needed more,I am 6'2" also. I was intent on buying the camaro untill I drove one,it was a big let down.

my lower seat doesnt go much lower. thats the only thing i hate, that my seat bottom feels alot higher then i feel it should be.

my wife is 5'5" and she sat rather comfy behind me, the seat wouldnt slide back any further then i had it. now maybe if i had the seat back further back there might not be much space there.

you guys talking about the gunslit windshield.. that **** is coffin like.. the only thing that kills it for me is that a 2door coupe weighs roughly the same as my 4door vette..

i liked the feeling being in the car steep windshield rake and all.

normally buying a gm car means its going to be heavier then its competition ( aside from the vette) but this felt pretty solid chassis wise so the weight felt like a trade off to me.

but it did feel rather wide. i had to navigate it through a tight section of poles to get out of the parking lot and it took some getting used to where all the ends of the car are.
