Anyone that removed stock Res. and installed a X-Pipe.
Just looking for some input from you guys that have removed the stock resinator and installed a X-pipe. Right now my V has stock resinator but I replaced the stock mufflers and installed Magnaflow 14416 Bullet mufflers and 3.5" slash cut stainless tips. I love the sound of the V now, it wasnt even to loud without any mufflers. But I would like a little throatier sound. Just wondering if anyone that has removed the stock resi. how much of a difference it made and if it droned afterwards. I would love to replace the resi. with an x-pipe and have the V be a little louder. But I drive alot on the highway and right now I have no drone issues. I know everyone says the Magnaflow catback with the x-pipe isnt to loud and the Magnapack mufflers I have now are only a little louder than the muffler used on the Magnaflow catback. So I think it will be ok, but some input would be nice from someone with a similar setup.

yes, there's drune on freeway, but I like it....
only way to tell is to drive one...or do it but have mechanic cut the pipes right to reverse it IF you dont like it.

I removed the stock resonator and added a Spintech x-pipe, however I also did a muffler delete and still have the stock cats on. The best way to describe it is; hardcore sexual V8 goodness. Its throaty, it pops depending on rpm and engine temp, no rasp, and is still quiet higher gears.
