something broke... *Now with Pics of the Axle*
was out driving the car and...
i was leaving a stop light, did a normal roll. then i saw the street i need to turn on was less then a block up. so i got into the car some (about 3/4 throttle), went to shift to from 1st to 2nd, and something broke. speed was about 35 to 40 when i went to go to 2nd with about 5 grand on the tach.
now, whenever i try to drive, the car makes a loud banging noise in all gears. like, when i give the car a little gas and start to let out the clutch is when the noise starts.
the clutch feels the same as it does normally and i can shift through all the gears with no issues (shifting through them while the car is not moving).
car is at a shop now being looked at. and they thinks its something in the rear. but my cousin had a 01 Camaro SS that did the exact same thing, and he broke one of the torque arms.
any inputs would be helpful...
edit: there is no fluid what so ever that is leaking from the car.

Yea, I'm guessing the axle didnt break. Probably something in the diff.
If you did break an axle, you'll get a prize for being the first to ever break a Gforce 300m axle
Thanks
Chris

Man, bro that sucks... I woulda had a heart attack if it was me and I was 3 states away from home and on a deadline to leave... then again I think your not coming back til the 18? Or somewere around there so you got plenty of time to get it diagnosed and fixed before you have to come back..
Anyways once you get her up and going again get someone to vid your car so I can hear your new headers and exhaust... lol

Does the car drive?
If it drives, then it might be the driveshaft support.
If its doesnt drive, you are looking at a CV joint failure, or driveshaft failure.
I doubt you broke the diff.

shop called...
they found nothing wrong with the tranny, driveshaft, cv joints, or the rear diff...
the shop thinks that something went wrong with the axles. they think it is a problem where the axles go into the rear diff.
soo, its looks like i am the first person to have the axles go bad.
