Default Back Up Lights Not Working. What to Look For?

After my fiasco with St. Claire Cadillac https://ls1tech.com/forums/cadillac-...vice-ever.html (St. Claire Cadillac San Jose, CA - Worst Dealership and Service EVER!!!), my back up lights do not work anymore.

I got the body work finished and got my car back this past Tuesday. The body shop owner tells me that after his final inspection, he is supposed to check to make sure all of the lights and what not still work in the area of where he was doing the body work. And noticed the back up lights weren't working. Well the stealership did drop my transmission twice (once for the clutch replacement, the other for the shifter assembly.) Is there a sending unit on the transmission I need to look for that actuates the back up lights? Please let me know.

Try this.
At night when I unlock my car with the remote the back up lights come one.
See if your lights come on when you do that?

Yes back up lights come on when I unlock my car. That means the sensor on the transmission didn't get hooked up? Correct?
