Over 2 tons curb weight(4,046 - 4,154) and 8 speeds of slushness a V1 should be safe, and E60 535i/550i on the other hand has a problem. Its a nice car and at good price but a V1 with axles should be able to dispose of in nearly any challenge aside from a dyno pull.

Hyundia and Kia games are now better then most of what GM, Ford, and Chrysler are producing.

Problem with the Hyundai genesis Coupe (2.0T) is that the ECU is limiting and not sure people were able to crack the code, so to speak. I know, different car, but wonder how this one would respond.
I'm not worried about it on the road though and nice to see them get out of their pure junk they produced in 86 (Excel)...IMO, that is far too much money for a hyundai, but if it were ~$30-$35k fully loaded, it could be a good choice for somebody in the market; say the wife. Especially since no more G8's or anything similar anymore that doesn't cost an absolute fortune or asking for problems down the road (german)
I'd be curious to see how all these "new" hyundais hold up in the long run though. Least there's another choice now...

I've heard that the brakes on the V8's are the same as the V6's. There was a time when the 400 horsepower club was small group. Now it seems it's almost common place and a lot of companies are targeting that market.
What's next, a RWD 400 horsepower Acura TL?

I can't lie, I dig the new Hyundai's. Very luxurious, and very competitive in the "luxury" car market.
I contemplated buying my friends Genesis 2.0T Track package before the V. I just have a special place in my heart for Sedans...

Hyundai has come a long way no doubt... but I think most "car guys" don't buy a car for what it is, but rather what it could be... the V1 takes the trophy... unless Hyundai comes out with something I'm not aware of

Yeah, 400 hp at one time was pretty nutty to have in a new car and now it's becoming more common, but there are dynamics involved within those pretty numbers (sales) that don't always equate to what they sound like.
So, (say I was 'concerned' on the street) until I saw actual consistent track times and people getting power out of them or even desiring to race around on the street, I wouldn't worry much...
The problem I foresee with cars like this is that while they are new, most of the owners will treat them nicely and not 'drive around', racing around, etc., but as they depreciate (say the market became saturated) then the 'kids' or immature drivers/hackers get them and you get potential for trouble on the road, with high powered, heavy vehicles that are not under proper control. Not sure the ones who want the money think these things through, lol...Probably an extreme example, but food for thought.
Otherwise, it's neat they are available and will be interesting to see what happens with them; especially with the push towards save-mother-earth econoboxes going on right now....

They are that big of turds any more...I have test drove a couple of the newer ones, and they are very nice cars. The Gensis has a nicer interior then our V1s IMO. But then again the interior of the V1 is a pile of ****.
