Thanks. Yeah, that definitely sucks. It seems that there IS a weakness in the bed frame, but in order to expose it you have to hit some hard jumps at 80mph or so. Even though Ford advertises racing the Truck, if they can show you have "abused" it you are SOL.
Kind of like us blowing the rear diff in the V when in the commercials in 2005-2006 Cadillac showed the CTS-V launching hard out of a "gun barrel" and advertised 0-60 in under 5...but to reproduce that is "abuse".

Damn Ford is having some serious problems with their new ****. The new 5.0 and the Raptor are both impressive from a performance standpoint and they're both coming out with all sorts of ****.

Damn... That does suck! Does anyone know if the dealer will replace a diff if the car is out of warranty? I mean the 04 diff should be more of a recall as opposed to a warranty issue right?

My buddy has a new raptor and just spent a bunch of time and money on tires, a trimmed bumper, etc to make it "jump" ready. I'll have to show him this thread before he messes his truck up too.

We don't typically work on Ford's, but we're putting a Procharger on this one. Yesterday we got baseline dyno runs. As you can see, it barely fit on the dyno or in the dyno room for that matter.
I'm not a Ford guy, but I've got to say, it's a beautiful truck. The owner had the same issue where the frame bent. Not a cheap fix.

Man that's a tight fit! Looks like if the truck jolted forward a little on the dyno like they sometimes do because of the slight stretch in the straps, it would actually touch the wall... Lol

We definitely don't have vehicles jolt forward. We've had numerous vehicles over 1000hp and they don't jolt. They may stretch the straps, but not jolt. And if they make that much hp, we will have four straps on the back.
The high horsepower stuff stretches the straps, but those vehicles have plenty of distance to the wall. This truck doesn't make enough power to stretch the straps, so there was never a danger of that happening.

Oh I'm sure it was all safe. I didn't mean anything by what i said. I was just sayin it looks like a super close fit with that baja bar on the front. By jolt I just meant that small movement you get with the stretching of the straps like you said. What did that truck put down btw? And what do they make stock?

I cant say that im surprised. Watching the commercials, I thought to myself, how in the hell can you jump a truck and hit whoops with it without having some kind of bed cage to square things up. Bummer for all the guys who dropped big money on it to end up with it looking like a banana.

That's a squeeze to get that in there!
I know my buddys shop, he has a lot of diesel guys that want to dyno. It's amazing he can fit those things in his place!
