How to seperate third brake light?

How to seperate third brake light? Like alot of others my center mount third brake light has crapped out on my 04 CTS-V. I already ordered the LED strip to fix it myself. Does anyone have any tips on how to seperate the housing so I hopefully don't destroy the lens or the housing? Not sure if I should heat it up a bit and pry or just go for it. ANy suggestions.

Third Brake Light Repair If you go to google and search Cadillac cts third brake light, then you will see a company on there that does these repairs cheap and they also do it through ebay as well. Check them out.
