Default Pissed........ But happy

Took my car in for a second opinion on the cam install. Took it to cunninham mitirsports in temecula CA. Ryan the owner asked me what was wrong. I said that it ran like ****. He said ok and went out to my car and hooked up his computer. Comes back and and tells me there isn't even a tune in the car. Me=pissed. I asked him to tune it and now it runs like a champ. A++++++++ to those guys at that shop.

i cant recall but did the install shop that did you cam, were they supposed to tune it?

supposidly.... it ran like crap so that's why I went to get a second opinion. And that's what I got. He said "I'll come show you your file", and I said. It's ok I believe you; cause it run's like a turd. LS3 swap and axles next. He recently did a smalled cammed LS2 GTO and got great power out of the LS3 swap

Waiting on the Dyno sheets to be emailed to me. He told me 409RWHP. Isn't the Dyno dynamic dynes supposed to be heart breakers? I'm almost positive it can't be 409.

I would go have words with the first "Tuner". By LS3 swap, i'm guessing you mean l92 heads? Or are you actually swapping in an LS3? Hopefully that cam will work with the l92's.

Nah. Ls3 upper. The thing that sucks is the tuner/installer is my brothers friend so I can't really be too pissed. The install was correct. Parts were at cost. The only thing was that there was no tune. So in the end. It wasn't really like I was getting jipped. Bit I guess you could think either way

The guys that just did my tune said he just did an ls3 swap on an ls2 gto. He said all I need is intake. Heads. Amd spacers for the injectors. And the heads will need to be milled a little

Wow. He didnt even give you a shitty tune. He gave you no tune. Thats way worse.
I wouldnt let someone who thinks they tuned my car....near a tuning device.
Thats definitely a pissed but happy moment. I dont know which Id feel more.

I don't know what to think. He had a twin turbo camaro in there he had to finish and all his HP tuners got deleted because of a corrupted update I guess. Maybe he was waiting to tune when he put my headers on In a couple days? I dunno. But I'm happy now. Cars pulls really well. Cost me 550$. But that isn't **** for drivability

So it's not an LS3 swap then, you're getting L92 and an LS3 intake manifold (which you should get online, they're cheap, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2010-...#ht_3578wt_958, like this that includes fuel rail). Should make some good power, my buddy did the swap on his GTO and is shooting for around 450-460rwhp.

Ryne is a great tuner. Fwiw his dyno is known to read low but there just numbers take it to the track and get the numbers that count.

Well if his Dyno reads low then my car is a factory beast. Cause 409RWHP is unheard of with just a cam. Btw. I'm not claiming anything. Just shooting Dyno numbers. But yes to ryne. I can tell he is a great tuner. My car runs perfectly and I can't ask for anymore at this point

Some LS motors are known to put down 430 with just a cam..but the V never makes good power on the dyno with the heavy flywheel/clutch combo and the overall cushy drivetrain. Hell I only made 392 with a much bigger cam, but was told by someone else (not sure if its true or not) that his dyno is not setup correct. I need to freshen up the valve train here soon and redyno it at another shop and see what happens.
