Stock LS6 CTS-V with Ford 8.8 diff Track Vids
I just came across this freshly update video of an 04 CTS-V with the Ford 8.8 diff, axles and drive line making some 1/4 mile passes.. These girls with a good rear diff, axles and drive line have 12s with some seat time! I new our cars could do it if we have no fear of the rears granading within the 1st 60 foot!! By the way check out the CRAZY *** 60s that this thing pulls off!
Enjoy

Woodburn dragstrip is in Woodburn OR, altitude 800ft. That thing didn't go any faster than one with a stock rear at that altitude. Not bad, but it needs some mods to put that rear to use.

SSiskLS1 is right. That is pretty similar times to what they get on the stock diff. And the first set of numbers you are seeing inst he 60' time, its reaction time. to know his 60' times, he would have had to post them in the video.
Also, there is 1 big issue doing the CS with an 8.8 swap...
the cost of the CS 8.8 swap is only 700 less then Gforce 9". i beileve the CS is 4800, and all you get is the diff and the mounting hardwear. 5500 for the base Gforce gets you everything to really build a proper drive line. with the 8.8 you dont get new axles, CVs, or Driveshaft. running the diff is nice, but next thing would be the axles or CVs would snap. so you would have to add in the cost of a new drive shaft and the CVs/Axles. 1000 for a drivesahft and 1000 to 1400 for the rest. so the 8.8 swap would end up costing, on the low end, 6800. unless CS has started adding those part into the package and keeping the cost under 5000, then it isnt worth the money as to get a 9" from GForce...the CS Swap is an option, but not a good one IMO.

i say its good to see them putting this to work, I still havent seen anything from a gforce rear in an actual car even though they have sold a good number of them.
if there is a video or times from one let me know since i would like to stare at it.

A stock V1 with street tires and average driver will 60' in the 2.0 to 2.3 second range. If you are a great driver you might get a 1.9X in stock form. With sticky tires and my maggie setup the best 60" I saw was a 1.90 second 60', but I consistently saw 1.95-1.99 second 60' times. If anyone breaks into the 1.7-1.8 second range I would be impressed.
