Default BlackDiamond Coupe...surgery pics.

No reason to clutter this with words....

2011 very low mile, black diamond coupe...6speed manual..in the middle of surgery.

Just random pics....no order. Car is still under the knife,..been slammed these days so, hoping to have it finished up by weeks end. Being NOT my car, I'm not gonna go into any real detail on this, long story short, it'll end up being a mildly modded CTS-V. that'll support plenty of power for years to come. More pics, as I get through the build.

funny, how someone has always gotta have a negative.

However, I agree, the wheels look a little funky... now, I will tell you, not my style at all but, in person, they look a lot better... The Color choice,...to me, I woulda had the center either black, or maybe painted to match centers, either way, not chrome,... but, although the wheel styling isn't normally something I would go with(twisted 5 spoke) but,..IMO they COULD look sick... either way, to each her/his own,..and I respect each ones opinion.

275's in front, 325's in rear.

You bitch about the wheels but not the bright yellow calipers? lol

Car looks great, wish I had the $$$ to dump on a new CTS-V Coupe and then have a motor built...

Looks like you're taking good care of it though

When you see riced out Hondas sporting the same styled rims and then see them on a CTS-V2 coupe, you might understand my taste in rims.

Well it's a Black Diamond edition so those come stock, they didn't have a choice from the factory. I'd like them blacked out or at least stock grey.

Hate to thread dump, and would LOVE to get into a V2, but if I had to pay for one I'd have to pass on the coupe. That back end is just butt-ugly, IMO. They chopped it off too much, IMO.

Good luck on your buildout V-Series! Can't wait to see the finished product.

It wasn't all that bad but, it was interesting dropping the cradle. We enjoy this type of work so, it was a pleasure to work on.

To each his own,...I understand. If you look in our personal shop,..you'll see 3-4 SETS of FIKSE wheels on half of our in house cars...I believe that is the most race oriented wheel out there for the street... other then CCW, which I like a lot(classics mostly). Forgeline, Kinesis, those are also amongst my favorites. I know what looks good on cars,...these aren't as bad you make them. They're not ghetto, cheap wheels,..they're custom made for this car. I think the color combo throws everyone off but, again, not something I would have chosen myself but, it does look pretty good in person.

The car draws A LOT of attention on the road,... a lot.

I'll find out. I took them all off,..honestly, they are very heavy. I could probably throw my 335 18" FIKSE wheels maybe 15-20 yards, without any injury. These wheels,..maybe 5 yards, and i'd drop a nut, or two. I advised him of lighter wheels....which is number 1 goal for me,..lighter=performance. Simple.

being that I already own a couple of 2 doors, if I had a choice, i'd take a 4 door myself,...but the coupe, with the right wheels, and right stance, does look pretty amazing,...and all to it's own unique. They're is NOTHING on the road like it, wouldn't you agree?

At 44 seconds.....listen to how quiet the car gets when I put the camera INSIDE the car with DOOR open.... I think it says a lot to the quality of this vehicle and the sound insulation inside of it,...and how much of it could be removed for a lighter planned car(another V). Anyways, I don't know what happens on after that cause the video gets distorted. However, I still have video on my phone, so maybe I will try again.

Enjoy.

No doubt it's very unique, and for the right price, I'd probably buy a V2 coupe in a heartbeat. It's mostly a personal preference thing, I guess. Like I said, I can't wait to see your finished product and maybe yours will change my mind on the coupe. Post some HD pics when you get her done and cleaned up.
