Headlight washers come on automatically?
Ever since I added HID ebay fogs, when I turn them on, headlight washers come on too. The HID kit has matching plugs & needed no extra wiring/soldering or anything, so nothing major was touched electrically.
I tried a search & got 3 threads on headlight washers.

The washers squirt twice only, they don't keep squirting, but it happens each time the headlights are on automatically when I turn on the fogs. Sometimes, if I get the fogs on right when I start the car, they won't squirt.

They only supposed to come on when your headlights are on and you go to clean your windshield by pushing the windshield fluid button. The dont self clean based on if theyre dirty or not.

Does anyone know if the electronics are some how connected (fogs+washers) that if there's any fault that it might cause this? When I took the bumper off on SAT, the passenger side fog ballast had come loose from the adhesive & was hanging (restuck it up there). Also, the plug connecting the fog/turn lights & main wiring harness had a bunch of water in it that had a couple of pins that were kinda corroded. It was also the side that my filament bulb turn/running light was working only part time. I replaced it with an LED.

First off define dirty because my car has been pretty damn filthy and the headlights didn't clean themselves ... On topic though it sounds likes a voltage spike from the ballast... I'm not sure how the kit is wired, but using a relay to support the load will usually stop that from occurring

It's intermittent, I've not seen it for a couple of days now.
Again, the wiring for the HID Fogs ballast is simply like putting in an wire extender. There's a female/male plug & simply puts the ballast between the bulb/existing wiring. For anyone that's had to drop their bumper, there's one plug to disconnect the DRL/Fogs (plus side marker). From that plug, it splits into 2 plugs: one for DRL, one for Fog. The ballast sits between the fog bulb & plug:
There was not a single wire to cut/splice/solder/anything. Plug & play.
One wire plugs into harness. Other end into ballast. Ballast into bulb.

There is a starter ballast that runs for roughly 20 seconds... that's the one that will cause a voltage surge when firing up the bulb... it could be related to the problem he is having.
