i was gonna do a monster clutch but i wanna try the ls7 cause its a way better price. On SDPC they offer ls7 flywheel or a 19.5 lb flywheel ?? Is it even worth dropping to a 19.5 lb flywheel for a daily driver/ drag track 3 times a month car?
please comment if you alreaady have a ls7 clutch swap or have good advice to point me in the right direction.. thanks

I went with the 28 lb factory LS7 flywheel. It's great for daily driving and a HUGE improvement over stock, but does feel like it could be lighter. I've heard others comment that they didn't have any problems with their superlight flywheels, but i suspect those lightweight flywheels may have something to do with a short clutch-life.

I would definetly do the LS7 over the monster as far as clutch, and I would stay with the heavier flywheel. 28lbs is already cutting the factory crap in half. Most who drop to the 18lb flywheels have driveability issues until the have the tune touched up.
I went with the 18 lbs flywheel, and at 1st the car stalled out more(I have a cam and it the car sometime hunts for idle) after about 700 miles The car stalls less on its own. Whenever it does hunt for idle it finds it quicker.
Stop and go traffic hasn't seemed to be a problem for me yet. The car does bog down a little easier if I do not give her some gas coming off the clutch.
